NORTHERN ARIZONA
BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE

We are the future of high school lacrosse in Northern Arizona.

We are building a new opportunity for boys in grades 8–12 to play high school lacrosse in Northern Arizona. Our goal is to develop a strong regional player base and, over time, offer a boys high school team that can compete in the Arizona high school lacrosse landscape, while creating a pathway for future teams tied to individual Northern Arizona high schools as participation grows.

Until we have enough players to field a full team, our focus is on building developmental opportunities for athletes from across the region. That means players from Flagstaff, Prescott, Cottonwood, and surrounding Northern Arizona communities can train, learn, and grow together through a community-based program (that can absolutely be listed on those college applications).

Practices are expected to begin in Fall 2026, with the primary high school season taking place in the spring from February through May. Players are encouraged to join at any time throughout the year. Student athletes are encouraged to volunteer throughout the NAYL program and accumulated hours can be listed for student organizations such as National Honor Society.

New to lacrosse? You are not behind.

One of the biggest reasons athletes hesitate to try lacrosse is because they feel like they are starting too late. The truth is, high school is still a great time to start. Whether you already play another sport, have never picked up a stick, or are simply looking for something new, this program is being built with both experienced and brand-new players in mind.

Lacrosse rewards athleticism, coachability, toughness, speed, and willingness to learn. If you already play sports, many of your skills will transfer. If you are completely new, we want to help you get started in an environment that is supportive, developmental, and competitive in the right ways.

Regional, developmental, and built for growth

This is an independent community-based program serving athletes from across Northern Arizona. Practices will be held in Flagstaff, Cottonwood, and Prescott to help make participation more realistic for families across the region.

Our long-term vision is to help grow enough participation to support stronger local programs and, eventually, school-designated teams where possible. Right now, the priority is simple: get athletes involved, build skills, and create a real high school lacrosse pathway in Northern Arizona.

We want interested players now

If you are a boy in grades 8–12 who is interested in playing high school lacrosse, we want to hear from you. 8th graders are also welcome and may participate in both youth and high school opportunities as appropriate.

We are working to reduce barriers for new players by helping with equipment and startup costs wherever possible.
