VERDE VALLEY VORTEX
The Verde Valley Vortex Boys & Girls Lacrosse Program is bringing fun, inclusive, rec-first lacrosse to Northern Arizona. As a program of Northern Arizona Youth Lacrosse and in alignment with USA Lacrosse, we are committed to building opportunities for local kids to learn the game, grow as athletes, and be part of something exciting right here in the Verde Valley!
We are currently building our teams for our inaugural Fall 2026 season and look forward to welcoming boys and girls who want to play, learn, and be part of a positive team environment. Whether your child is brand new to lacrosse or ready to keep developing their skills, our goal is to create a program that is fun, supportive, community-driven, and accessible to families in the Verde Valley.
As our program grows, we anticipate meeting the requirements to participate in the Arizona Youth Lacrosse League (Boys) and the Arizona Girls Youth Lacrosse League (Girls).
Who: Boys and Girls grades K-8
What: Verde Valley Vortex Recreational Lacrosse Teams (teams may be combined at first and will eventually be divided by age and gender)
Where: Practices in Sedona, Arizona at Posse Grounds Park
When: Beginning in August 2026, practices will be 1x per week with additional "play days" throughout the season
Seasons: Fall & Spring (coming soon)
Cost: $40 per season; Goalies always play FREE!
Requirements: Every participant must have a current USA Lacrosse membership in order to play
Equipment: Boys and girls lacrosse require different equipment. NAYL will supply loaner equipment to all league participants however, if you would like to purchase your own equipment (recommended), please visit our recommended equipment page.
Fall Season: August through October
Spring Season: Late January through April

Verde Valley Boys & Girls Lacrosse is being built through the support of volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who believe in creating more opportunities for local kids. As we grow toward our inaugural Fall 2026 season, we are looking for people and businesses who want to help make youth lacrosse accessible, welcoming, and strong in Northern Arizona.
