Northern Arizona Youth Lacrosse is growing because people in our community are willing to step in, show up, and help build something meaningful for kids.
We are always looking for volunteers who believe in youth development, community, and expanding access to lacrosse across Northern Arizona. Whether you have a background in lacrosse or simply want to support local families and young athletes, there is a place for you here.
Our volunteers help make clinics, events, and programming possible. They help create welcoming first experiences for new players, support families, and strengthen the foundation of this organization as we grow.

Lacrosse experience is helpful for some roles, but not required for all volunteer opportunities.

Board Members/Community Volunteers
Board members and community volunteers help support the overall mission and growth of Northern Arizona Youth Lacrosse. These volunteers may assist with planning, fundraising, outreach, event support, communications, sponsorships, equipment coordination, and other behind-the-scenes needs that help the organization run smoothly. This is a great fit for community members, parents, and supporters who want to make a meaningful impact on youth sports in Northern Arizona, whether or not they have a lacrosse background.

Girls' Youth Coaches
Girls youth coaches support girls in grades K–8 as they learn the fundamentals of lacrosse, build confidence, and develop skills in a welcoming recreational setting. Coaches play an important role in creating a positive team culture, encouraging sportsmanship, and helping players feel excited about the game. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who want to support girls’ athletics, mentor young players, and help grow access to lacrosse in Northern Arizona. Lacrosse experience is valuable, but enthusiasm, reliability, and a love for working with kids also go a long way.
We are seeking volunteer coaches in the following communities:

Boys' Youth Coaches
Boys youth coaches help introduce and develop lacrosse for players in grades K–8 in a fun, positive, and encouraging environment. Coaches focus on teaching fundamentals, building confidence, promoting teamwork, and helping players grow their love for the game. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with kids and want to help create a strong recreational lacrosse experience for young athletes in Northern Arizona. Prior coaching or lacrosse experience is helpful, though a positive attitude and commitment to youth development are just as important.

Girls' High School Coaches
Girls high school coaches help build and lead a strong, supportive lacrosse experience for girls in grades 8–12 across Northern Arizona. Coaches will help develop player skills, foster teamwork and leadership, and create an environment where athletes can grow in both confidence and competitiveness. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about supporting girls in sports, mentoring student-athletes, and helping create a sustainable high school lacrosse pathway in Northern Arizona. Prior lacrosse or coaching experience is strongly preferred.
