Sticks in Hands. A Game Taking Root: BEND Hot Yoga Partners With Northern Arizona Youth Lacrosse

Growing youth lacrosse across Northern Arizona takes more than fields, schedules and coaches. It takes local businesses willing to invest in an idea before it has had time to become a tradition.

Northern Arizona Youth Lacrosse is proud to welcome BEND Hot Yoga as a Copper Sponsor and community partner supporting the growth of youth lacrosse in Prescott.

Strong Communities Build Strong Kids

Since 2012, BEND Hot Yoga has brought wellness, strength and connection to the Prescott community. The studio’s guiding words—“We are strong, we are kind, we are BEND”—reflect something we believe at NAYL, too: confidence grows when people feel supported, included and part of something larger than themselves.

That sense of belonging can begin on a yoga mat. It can also begin on a lacrosse field, with a child holding a stick for the first time and discovering that there may be a place for them in a new game.

Removing the Equipment Barrier

Trying a new sport should not require a family to purchase a pile of unfamiliar gear first.

BEND Hot Yoga’s support helps NAYL purchase shared lacrosse sticks and essential equipment for clinics, practices and beginner programs. By keeping equipment available within the program, we can give more young athletes the chance to try lacrosse before their families have to make a larger financial commitment.

It sounds simple: put a stick in a kid’s hands. But that first stick can open the door to movement, confidence, friendships, teamwork and a sport they may never have encountered otherwise.

And because shared equipment stays with NAYL, the impact continues. The same gear can welcome another new player at the next clinic, the next practice and the next season.

Helping Prescott Youth Lacrosse Take Root

As NAYL grows recreational lacrosse opportunities in Prescott, community partners like BEND help turn early interest into a sustainable local program. Their investment supports a low-pressure, inclusive environment where boys and girls can learn the game, build skills and belong to a team—regardless of prior experience.
